Most three year old closed records have been relocated to our Fort Worth Federal Records Center. (If a case is active, the record is retained in the Clerk's Office in New Orleans).

A record that has been sent to the Federal Records Center can be returned to the Clerk's Office for viewing and copying upon payment of the $53.00 fee. Request clerk to order record.

The Fort Worth Federal Records Center can also provide you with copies (see fee schedule below). Requests should be made directly to Federal Records Center. The following information is required to order copies and can be obtained from Closed Records in the Clerk's Office:

• City Where Court Is Located
• Case File Name
• Case File Number
• FRC Accession Number
• FRC Location Number
• Agency Box Number

*Entire Civil Case (uncertified) $35.00 – returned by Fed Ex $42.50

*Entire Civil Case (certified) $41.00 – returned by Fed Ex $48.50

Copies of most documents filed beginning January 1997 have been imaged and are available on-line through the PACER System. You can register for this service at the PACER Service Center's website, pacer.psc.uscourts.gov/register.html.
