Classroom Training

Training classes are held at the courthouse on a regular basis. Live training classes qualify for two hours of Louisiana CLE credit for members of the LA State Bar and are provided at no charge. Registration in a live training class is available by clicking here. If live training is elected, the attorneys must personally attend the training class. A secure login and password will only be given to the attorney at the completion of the live training class. Support staff may signup for the class as well using the above link.
 

On-line Tutorial

The Eastern District of Louisiana has recently implemented a CM/ECF on-line tutorial. Attorneys may complete the necessary CM/ECF training utilizing the on-line tutorial instead of participating in a live training class. To access the tutorial modules, click here. Once completing the tutorial, the attorney must then sign and submit to the Court a Certificate of Completion including a completed e-filing registration form. Upon receipt of the certificate and registration form, the Clerk's Office will contact the attorney by e-mail within 72 hours with the secure login and password needed to access the live CM/ECF system. The on-line tutorial does not qualify for Louisiana CLE credit.
