Release Date:
Thursday, June 10, 2021

On May 4th, 2021, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana held oath administrations in which 24 individuals were naturalized to become United States Citizens. The Honorable Nannette Jolivette Brown, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana, presided over the oath administrations and administered the Oath of Allegiance to the naturalization candidates. In taking the Oath, the naturalization candidates committed themselves to both the Constitution and Laws of the United States. The candidates hailed from across the globe, including Brazil, Burma, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Egypt, Honduras, Jordan, Russia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, and as a result, the administrations were truly a modern-day expression of America's diversified immigrant roots.
