Tulane geographer Richard Campanella is the author of six critically acclaimed books, including Bienville's Dilemma, Geographies of New Orleans, and Lincoln in New Orleans. The only two-time winner of the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities "Book of the Year" Award, Campanella has also received the 2010 Williams Prize for Louisiana History and Tulane's Mortar Board Award for Excellence in Teaching.
