Mr. Wiese's specialties include: cartohistory of Louisiana; early New Orleans jazz; and maritime and military history of the Gulf South, especially the Battle of New Orleans. Mr. Wiese is the Assistant Director, Williams Research Center, The Historic New Orleans Collection, and has contributed to several exhibitions and books produced by The Collection, including Charting Louisiana: 500 Years of Maps (2003).
