Payment

  • You will be paid a $50.00 attendance fee for each day your service is required and you report for jury duty, even though you may not be selected for a jury panel. Federal government employees, however, do not receive this attendance fee.
  • All jurors are reimbursed for mileage from their home to the court and back at the current rate approved by the government’s General Services Administration, and reimbursed for bridge or ferry tolls. The court does not, however, pay taxi or bus fare.
  • Petit jurors are paid weekly and may expect to receive their check within 10 to 20 days of their initial day of service. Grand jurors are paid at the end of each month.
  • Only the $50.00 per day attendance fee must be reported as income for tax purposes.
