2022 USDC-EDLA Women’s History Month Celebration

On March 23, 2022, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana celebrated Women's History Month by hosting a continuing legal education seminar entitled, "Creating Herstory." The seminar addressed the issues which women face in the legal profession, and effective methods for confronting those issues on an individual and organizational level. The Honorable Nannette Jolivette Brown, Chief Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, provided welcome and closing remarks, and panelists, Marcus Brown (Entergy Corporation), Camille Bryant (McGlinchey Stafford PLLC), Ashley Heilprin (Phelps Dunbar LLP), Tracey Knight (U.S. Attorney's Office, EDLA) Avery Pardee (Jones Walker LLP), and Peter Sperling (Frilot LLC), provided key insight into how women lawyers and their employers can implement strategic measures and initiatives to ensure that women lawyers are hired, retained, and promoted within the legal profession.
