The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana teamed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to hold a naturalization ceremony in which 149 petitioners became United States citizens. In a special ceremony held at the National WWII Museum on July 1, 2025, the Honorable Greg G. Guidry, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana, presided and provided the keynote address. In his remarks, Judge Guidry spoke of the incredible privileges that come with being an American citizen. He recognized the beauty of the celebration being the week of the country’s Independence Day, a time for every American to celebrate the freedom and opportunities that come with being a citizen. Judge Guidry then administered the Oath of Allegiance, followed by a recorded message from President Donald Trump. Judge Guidry then handed out certificates to our country’s newest citizens.
