On July 8, 2021, the Honorable Jay C. Zainey, U.S. District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, administered the Oath of Allegiance to over 25 individuals, granting them United States citizenship. In taking the oath, the naturalization candidates promised to support, defend, and bear true faith and allegiance to the U.S. Constitution and laws. The administrations were a true example of our country’s core belief that all peoples, regardless of race, creed, color or national origin, are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
