Release Date:
Wednesday, September 3, 2025

Survivors of domestic and family violence frequently encounter complex legal challenges that extend across multiple practice areas. This panel features attorneys from legal aid organizations  who provide direct representation to adults and children impacted by domestic and family violence. Panelists will discuss the scope of legal remedies available to survivors, including protective orders, custody and visitation, housing, immigration relief, and access to public benefits--while also addressing the unique challenges that arise in practice. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical role of legal advocacy in promoting safety, stability, and justice for survivors, and will leave with ideas on how they can contribute much needed pro bono services. Those already practicing in this field will gain practical insights to inform and enhance their own practice.
